The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has awarded a $138,000 improvement project for a bridge on KY 386 in western Nicholas County.
Beginning the week of March 17, contractors will remove deteriorated concrete from the surface of the KY 386 bridge over McBride Creek and replace it with a new concrete overlay. The work will require the bridge to be restricted to one lane, with traffic controlled by temporary signals, through April or until the project is complete.
The work is being done under a $137,579.93 low-bid contract awarded to M&M Services Co. Inc.
Road work is subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, drive slowly in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
