The Morehead State University Board of Regents asked the new president to make personnel and operating adjustments of approximately 7 and a half percent of MSU's current year budget by Jan. 1
The Board unanimously voted to make the request so the university will be well-positioned to meet the changing environment within higher education in Kentucky.
President Jay Morgan says the charge was to reposition the dollars into scholarships and areas for performance funding.
Morehead State has a $152 million budget. The expected changes could mean as much as $11-million in reallocations.
