Bluegrass Benefit

A benefit concert featuring local bluegrass bands will take place this Saturday, March 31st at Heritage Elementary School near Grayson. Music by artists including Jonathan Cox, The Pactolus Pony Riders, Billie Renee Johnson, and Hammertowne.

Chaston Carroll plays mandolin with Hammertowne. The concert will raise money for his uncle, 55-year-old Roger Oney of Willard, who was diagnosed with cancer after doing some blood work…

Carroll says Oney has been traveling back and forth between Kentucky and the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Georgia for treatment, which has gotten expensive. He says the musicians won’t make any money from the show – all donations will go towards Oney’s treatment fund…
